    13.October.09 - Spontaneity

    Happy belated Turkeyday! It was Thanksgiving over the weekend in Canada and my family doesn't really do a whole lot for Thanksgiving. Sometimes we'll have a dinner but it's not overly celebrated. Both my sisters and my brother-in-law went to Minneapolis for the long weekend for some shopping, and some more shopping. This in mind and the plotting of some other friends, we decided to pay them a visit and crash in their hotel room for the night. This was all pretty spontaneous as the plan was born and executed in about an hour and a half. We did afterall need to go home and pack our swimwear for the waterslide at the hotel! A long (not really, only 22 hours over the border) story short we made it there, found my sisters, slid down the waterslide a dozen times, ate, shopped, and drove back home. Here's a few pics from our adventure!

    What might have been one of the worst summers (weather-wise) for Winnipeg we had a great time during our softball season. Congrats to the Wings and good luck next year defending your championship!
